June Member Spotlight: Summer Smith

At Elite Sisters of Light No. 007, we believe every sister brings a unique light, purpose, and story to our sisterhood. This month, we are proud to spotlight Sister Summer Smith and celebrate her journey of growth, ambition, and continued elevation.

Originally from Forrest City, Arkansas, Sister Summer is currently pursuing her degree at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where she majors in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management. Beyond the classroom, she shares her talents as a member of the university band, where she plays the trumpet, and is also a member of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity, Inc.

Since joining ESOL in September 2025, Sister Summer has continued to embrace the values of sisterhood, leadership, and service. As a current Star Point, she has dedicated time to giving back through ESOL community service initiatives and volunteering opportunities.

Through her involvement, Sister Summer has contributed several service hours supporting efforts such as the Arkansas Food Bank and the Pathway to Wellness event. She also invited a friend to join her in serving at a recent event, helping extend the spirit of service beyond herself! 🤍

Recently, Summer completed two Certificates of Achievement through her summer work experience focused on youth safety and trauma-informed care provided by DFPS. Her commitment to learning and expanding her impact is a true reflection of what it means to Illuminate & Elevate. 🤍

When asked to describe herself in one word, Summer chose “ambitious” and that shines through in everything she does. Her hidden talent? She says she can solve things like a private investigator by putting “2 and 2 together.” 🔎

Outside of her busy schedule, Summer enjoys unwinding by listening to music and motivational messages, including speakers like Sarah Jakes Roberts, while enjoying a relaxing moment.
