Guiding Light: Messages from the Matron

Vol. I | September 2025

Dearest SiSTARS and Friends,

It is with great joy that I share a radiant milestone in the life of our chapter. This month, the Elite Sisters of Light welcomed a new sister into our fold, expanding not only our membership but the very spirit that guides us. Each time we grow, we are reminded that sisterhood is not simply about numbers, but about the bonds that strengthen our purpose and illuminate our path forward.

And yet, one of the most beautiful truths about our sisterhood is that we are not identical — we are diverse in thought, background, leadership styles, and life experiences. To come together as a team means honoring these differences, not shying away from them. It means listening with grace when opinions vary, learning from one another whether young or seasoned, and recognizing that every style of leadership and learning has value. In the Order of the Eastern Star, the true strength of our bond is shown in how we weave these differences together into unity — for the betterment of each sister, and for the light we shine as a whole.

As Worthy Matron, I am continuously inspired by the ways in which each sister’s light adds brilliance to our collective flame. Leadership, I’ve learned, is less about standing at the front and more about ensuring that every voice, every hand, and every heart feels seen, heard, and valued. Our newest member reminds us that fresh perspectives and renewed energy are the blessings that sustain our work.

In the weeks to come, you’ll find us serving our community, embracing growth, and creating opportunities to shine together. Whether through service projects, fundraising efforts, or moments of quiet fellowship, we remain steadfast in our commitment to love, light, and leadership.

Until our next reflection, may you continue to walk in light and extend it to others.

In Love & Light,

Worthy Matron
